PLEASE DO SOMETHING about the dirty street bums (no they are not "homeless" because when I ask them personally they do not want to go to a shelter or be in a home.) One was OK and then two, might but now there are over 10 !!! The large filthy woman with two shopping carts piled high with garbage and junk actually shoved her shopping cart into my stomach almost knocking me over when I tried to ask her about going to a shelter. She became violent. Is this what we want for beautiful Menlo Park? I have been a resident since 1956 here and you do nothing about the bums but instead you focus on extending restaurants into our streets, and putting down Astroturf and nice chairs in a pop-up park so the bums have a nice place to sit with their shopping carts and garbage!
