Dear City Council, I know that sending you in to negotiate with Stanford and their highly paid lawyers is not easy. Palo Alto City Council has given them the world and are paying a heavy price. We have lost so much of the quality of life that we hold so dear with the traffic, the over extended school systems and the negative funding of the city employees retirement funds (that you have "negotiated" so beautifully). Don't even try to negotiate with them. You will lose and we will lose. They have a thousand acres. Tell them to build their housing on their property and leave Menlo Park alone.
