Dear City Council
You are clearly following your own agenda in trying to transform down town Menlo Park from a business district into a high rise housing concern.
Your antipathy to cars in the down town is very clear. Please note that the overwhelming majority of residents oppose your plan.
You have acted in secrecy and have actively mislead residents about your plan. You have pursued your own personal agenda instead of representing the community.
You all deserve to be recalled. Not a single one of you has demonstrated the courage to stand up in Council for the will of the people. Instead you endlessly defer to each other - to the detriment of the citizens of Menlo Park.
The minority of special interest groups that have run our City for too long need to be stopped.
Now you are dragging your feet in disclosing the developer bids you have in hand. You will run the clock out as long as
possible before voting on a done deal that irrevocably damages our downtown forever.
You do not deserve our trust.
You have lost the right to be trusted and you should all be recalled before
your plan is finally foisted on the unsuspecting citizenry who deserved to he heard and listened to.
