Dear Councilmembers, Regarding the demand that Menlo Park change our voting system, I hope you will take action as needed to avoid litigation, and also reach out to negotiate time and to explore the possibility of implementing ranked choice voting rather than being limited to in-district or by-district elections as a choice of remedy. The benefits of ranked choice voting, as described by FairVote.org here, are several and significant.
