Dear Council Members and Staff: I am writing to urge each of you to vote "Yes" to approve the Next Steps for Library system improvements, Item I2, on the Agenda for tonight's Council meeting. Without your vote to move ahead, any improvements to the Main and Belle Haven Libraries will be at a standstill. The offer from John Arrillaga to fund a major portion of a new main library will be in jeopardy if we don't take these necessary steps. The delays may permanently affect Mr. Arrillaga's gift and this would be a real loss to the entire Menlo Park community. It would also delay the assessment of the Belle Haven branch of the library, and the changes that should be made there. Please vote "yes" on Item I2.
