Dear Members of the Council: I oppose the gift with strings attached for a new or expanded civic center library-especially noting the donor's "disinclination" for improving the Belle Haven library. There are higher priorities it seems to me as a long-time resident of Menlo Park-from the relatively small problem of reparing sidewalks in the Flood Triangle neighborhood so residents can walk safely and comfortably without risk of injury to solving our serious parking and traffic congestion problems.
