To whom it may concern,
I can assure you that throughout town, not only is it the businesses themselves that are concerned but the patrons and residents of Menlo Park. I have spoken to each and every one of our clients on the matter and if "HANDFUL" was to be used, it would be for those in FAVOR of disrupting our downtown way of life. While none of us are against the housing, we cannot FATHOM how you expect us to survive the upheaval caused by the construction and absolute guaranteed change to our wonderful towns known and treasured character.
Where I know that "surplus" land is of course the target because it is FREE, other prospected locations make more sense and would protect our sweet town and loyal locals from being ousted! In the over 10 years I have worked in Menlo Park, I have come to know and love my neighbors and the "small town" feel that makes it so wonderful. I hope we will be able to keep our town with the neighborhood feel I have come to treasure.
