Planning Commissioners, Please delay your consideration of this project to allow the City of Menlo Park the opportunity to comment on its new impacts to our community. It is more than disappointing that our City was not notified of this project, particularly in light of Stanford's massive El Camino Real project and the Sand Hill Rd annexation project that were each approved last month with nary a mention of these additional impacts so close to those projects and our town. The new location is within 1/2 mile distance of Menlo Park and the Stanford El Camino Real project site. The old location was more than a mile away. While the trips may not be that different on Quarry Rd in comparison with the prior location at the other end of campus, the trip distribution and IMPACTS on nearby intersections, roadways, and neighborhoods will be considerably altered. It feels as if Stanford has chosen to piecemeal its approval requests rather than providing a comprehensive picture to either of our counties and communities. Please allow adequate time for the City of Menlo Park to weigh in on the project and its impacts, and potential mitigation.
