To the Menlo Park City Council: BEFORE you ask the Developers to go further with time consuming and expensive plans, YOU MUST SHARE with them all evidence of litigation, threats of litigation, Citizen petitions opposing the plans AND allegations that the parking plazas are subject to a 51% vote. Without a VOTE, a change in use is NOT permitted.
Do this in fairness to the 7 developers, and to avoid accusations (more litigation?) that you did not fully disclose Existing Questions (and litigation) regarding your Right to Change the use of the parking lots, without a 51% VOTE
At present:
(1) you are the named defendants in a lawsuit on this parking lot proposal,
(2) you have 3,500+ angry citizens signing a petition to stop these housing proposals, (3) you have multiple alternate and better locations to build housing . . . Therefore:
YOU each have to ask "Why not use common sense and reason?"
It is NOT too late to look elsewhere to build housing.
