I am adding my voice to voices of other residents requesting that you remove Bryan Lanza, the former Communications Director for both the Trump Campaign and Citizens United, from consideration as a consultant for our city. I read Mayor Kirsten Keith's letter in response to this request by many residents and I hope the Council will agree with this request at their meeting on Nov. 7th. It seems to me that infrastructure issues regarding the Dumbarton rail corridor should be planned by the whole region that will be using it which includes not only Menlo Park, but Redwood City, East Palo Alto, and other areas of San Mateo county, Palo Alto and other areas of Santa Clara county and parts of the East Bay and beyond. I can't imagine that this is not being done, so I don't understand the need for Menlo Park to pay for a consultant to try to get federal funding.
