Dear Mayor Keith and City Council Members, Due to the large public interest in Agenda Item I3 (Contract with Mercury Public Affairs), I respectfully request that this item be moved up the agenda so that the greatest number of citizens have the opportunity to engage the City Council on this topic. As we know, City Council meetings tend to run very late and this can disincentivize otherwise interested members of the public to be part of the civic process. While there are many important issues that the Council discusses each meeting, Agenda Item I3, especially on the approximate year anniversary of the election, seems to have struck a nerve with the larger community and warrants special consideration.
