One way in on Chester and O"Keefe, and one way out on Durham is a long term solution but not a fast one. The fastest solution is "No right turn on Chester and O'Keefe from 3pm to 7pm", and "No right turn on red 3pm to 7pm" on Durham. A sign at Menalto heading to freeway at the Chester/Green intersection indicating "No Outlet:" ...and signs on Chester, Durham and O'Keefe at Laurel and Central saying "No outlet to Willow Road 3pm to 7pm" will solve the immediate problem. I like the new design of the Willow/101 on and off ramps - the only problem I experience there is that right now people are confused because it?s new. there has been a bit more traffic then ?usual? and I?m hoping that it is due to the construction/road closures/ramps closed and the unfamiliar new design of the interchange. AS for the traffic on Willow that will continue and the cut-through traffic thru the Willows it will continue until some major changes happen, for example close Marmona at Gilbert OR make it a right turn only enter Marmona from Gilbert - that?s just an example. The increased traffic implications are huge and the new traffic lights and the elimination of two of the on-ramps will increase and create congestion compared to what we had. Removal of the "intersection free" on-ramps - Willow Rd heading East to 101 South and Willow Rd heading West to 101 North - and moving these freeway on-ramps to the traffic light intersections severely impedes the previous flow. These on-ramps used to be easy access to the freeway and thus free up space on Willow Rd for cars moving to the more congested areas. The new design SUCKS - unnecessarily restricting this access and contributing to congestion. Please leave those on-ramp roads open as part of the finished project - fewer cars will be stuck at traffic lights on the intersection and causing congestion and pollution as they site idling for TWO traffic lights to let cars move through. I am very confidant that the new design will only decrease flow and will not improve safety. PLEASE KEEP THE EASY ON-RAMPS. I know this request is late BUT the roads still exist - keep them!
