I live at the corner of Baywood & Woodland in the Willows. I work from home and my office window looks out at that corner. After the signs indicating "no thru traffic" were placed at the corner, I did see a slight decrease in traffic, but the speeds that are being driven down both Woodland and Baywood are still generally too fast for the neighborhood and there is still a high volume of cut-through traffic through the neighborhood during commute hours. There is a lot of pedestrian and bike traffic crossing Middlefield from Woodland to Palo Alto Ave. and because of the traffic, speeds and corner configuration, I'm surprised we haven't already had a serious accident at that spot. We understand that the speed and traffic problems in the Willows are complicated and have been getting worse over the years as the traffic volume from the area's businesses expand, but it is past time to address the problems in the Willows and along Willow Ave. We've seen emergency services held up by gridlocked traffic during commute hours which is extremely concerning. Traffic issues in the Willows need addressed NOW. Thanks for your attention, Lauri Hart 111 Baywood Ave. Received on Sun Nov 26 2017 - 16:11:59 PST
