Dear City Council Members, Thank you for all of the work you do for our City. I know that you dedicate countless hours of thought and care into working for Menlo Park. However, with regards to the move to By District elections, it is important that you remove yourselves from the process. As stated in a post to the Town Square on The Almanac ( https://www.almanacnews.com/square/2017/11/27/menlo-park-for-good-governance ), in order for the highest ethical standards to be applied, an Independent Re/districting Commission must be used. I would also like to invite you to consider the move to a charter city and the adoption of at large ranked choice voting which would put an end to any need for districts.
