Dear City Council Members,
My family of four voting members and I are Thrilled that the Council tonight will discuss the Staff report on building 800 homes on the beautiful former SRI grounds, including 154 affordable homes - so badly needed in our area. We are so very grateful that you are helping lead our wonderful City in the direction we need to go - and hope you and all of us will continue on this path with more homes in future too!
Our family much enjoys this lovely area, moved here only 6 years ago, and are delighted with its variety - and those magnificent trees almost everywhere! We feel badly though that some of our friends and service people in restaurants, schools, healthcare clinics, stores, outdoor and indoor help, can’t also live here - and in fact have to drive from far away - to help us - allowing us to enjoy their great company. Some of them have become our close friends, and it’s really disheartening that we help treat them so poorly.
We are so very grateful for your vision and action to increase affordable as well are reasonable housing for a balanced community!!
