My employer is part of a Steering Committee for San Mateo County’s Hazard Mitigation Plan update. As part of this effort, the County is conducting a survey of County residents around hazard mitigation and looking for as much participation as possible. In service of that goal, I’m sending this to you. If you have an opportunity and/or interest in completing, you can fill out the survey at this link here: https://cmo.smcgov.org/how-participate-multijurisdictional-hazard-mitigation-plan. This is really meant to get input from the broader public rather than industry experts, so no particular knowledge or experience in this area is required. The survey is due April 30th.
Feel free to forward along to any others who live in the County and might be interested. I know the County is interested in reaching a broad group of stakeholders, and I suggest exploring whether the City's Belle Haven email list could be used to reach a community that needs a voice in shaping the County's future climate resiliency work.
