Hello City Council Members,
I attended the June 3rd special meeting and heard a number of opponents to downtown housing claim that the overwhelming majority of Menlo Park residents don’t support the plan. I just wanted to share that this hasn’t been my experience. I live near downtown and spent about an hour on Monday walking door to door, asking neighbors whether they’d send an email to Council expressing their support for building downtown. I spoke with 15 people and 11 of them sent the email of support. At least in some areas of Menlo Park, there seems to be robust support for proceeding. We’re rooting for you to move the process forward!
