Dear Menlo Park City Council,
Please amend the citys plans to eliminate the Quiet Zone from its budget
planning. Residents have been advocating for a Quiet Zone for years, and
the engineering designs are nearly complete. The last step is funding - in
a community as well-funded as ours, this should not be insurmountable. If
neighboring communities can do it, so can we.
As youre well aware, not having a Quiet Zone in Menlo Park causes noise
pollution, interferes with our communitys sleep and wellness, and impacts
property values. Thousands of people in our community want the train horns
to stop - please dont turn a blind eye on us!
