Dear City Council members,
I have learned that the City plans to eliminate the Quiet Zone from its budget planning. Menlo Park residents have been advocating for a Quiet Zone for years, and the engineering designs are nearly complete.
I think removing the Quiet Zone from the budget is completely unacceptable. As a 46 year resident of Menlo Park, I have watched the train schedule- and thus the horn noise- increase dramatically. I urge you to add it back to the budget, or you will face the consequences in the next election.
