City Council Members-
You seem determined to waste the taxpayers money and make yourselves look
like the *worst* representatives in the history of Menlo Park.
Wasting our money on a PR firm is *NOT* going to help. Finding an
alternative location for the housing will help. Not ruining our downtown by
taking over the parking lots will help.
I have been working to collect signatures in front of Draegers. At least
half of the people who come to shop at Draegers are from out of town- Half
Moon Bay, Los Altos, Portola Valley, Atherton, Palo Alto. All are very
supportive even though they cant sign the petition because they are not
Menlo Park residents. Everyone, both residents and nonresidents see the
City Councils push to take over our parking lots as "ridiculous",
"absurd", "stupid".
The people who come from out of town are NOT going to take a bus. They need
to drive their car and need the parking lots.
Please *STOP* this insane push to build on our downtown parking lots and
locate an alternative location for the housing. *STOP* wasting the
taxpayers resources and *START* supporting the majority of Menlo Park
residents.
