Dear members of the council:
I realize that putting together a viable city budget and capital
improvement plan is a challenge, but on behalf of the many residents who
live by the train tracks and the thousands likely to move next to the
tracks over the coming years, I ask that you keep the Quiet Zone in the CIP.
Preliminary work on the Quiet Zone is, as you know, almost complete; the
project only lacks funding. By keeping QZ in the plan, we can continue
to try to procure funding.
