Dear Honorable Council Members,
Please leave a portion of the outdoor Left Bank and Bistro Vida areas in place but open up a car-width section on a permanent basis for cars.
Also, while you are reviewing this area, please create a more pleasing “park-like-space” in that portion in front of Walgreens. This is a wonderful spot at this end of town to create a small conversational spot for kids and adults. It is currently widely used during the day and early evening – but far from a pleasing sight. Picnic tables on asphalt was meant as a temporary situation and far from attractive but you can see that it is widely used.
I’m sure you could enlist many local landscape architects to design this free of charge. Perhaps make it contest and inspire some community engagement on this.
