Dear Menlo Park City Council,
As you prepare for the budget discussion this afternoon, I would like to
ask that you keep the Caltrain Quiet Zone on the Capital Improvement Plan
and double down on implementing it on an accelerated timeline.
Caltrain noise has only gotten worse with electrification and is now
expected to further increase with proposed more frequent train schedules.
It remains a top source of stress for our community, night and day, 7 days
a week — and we critically depend on the City Councils
continued partnership to resolve the issue.
