Dear City Council Members:
I am sending a letter separately, but I did want to express my concern about the effect of the proposed water rate increase structure on condominium dwellers. Please consider what effect this will have and try to come up with a proposal that is fair to all homeowners, not just single-family homes.
Also, I am sure that the square footage of our common areas, involving lawn and landscape maintenance are collectively less than the amount of acreage for an equivalent amount of single family homes. Additionally, there is just one entity that can regulate water use (the condo board and management), and likely more effective in reducing overall water consumption in drought conditions.
Thank you for listening and finding a more just methodology for generating rate information.
