For many years, the Menlo Park Gymnastics program has provided excellent service to our community. Children of all ages and abilities have been able to participate in a supportive, engaging program. In both the recreational and competitive tracks, athletes have learned the value of teamwork and worked to achieve individual goals under the guidance of its dedicated, caring staff.
I am writing to encourage the Council to fully fund the gymnastics program now so that it can reopen in Phase 3 of the framework laid out at the April 27th meeting. Children should not have to wait any longer than necessary for the opportunity to participate in what has been a very popular and successful city program.
