Please support following through on the Quiet Zone project

Hi City Council members,

Thank you for taking the time to read my message to you about the Capital
Improvement budget and plan.

My reading of the document is that the Quiet Zone project has been removed
and wont be funded. The Quiet Zone project improves the safety of
traffic-train intersection fairly soon. It will bring the safety of the
intersection to a level where trains would not be required to blast horns
to warn of their approach.

We need the Quiet Zone project even though there is a grade separation
planned for that intersection.

That is because it is possible the planned grade separation project doesnt
come to fruition. These negative outcomes are always a possibility.

The residents who live in and near the blast zone have documented
the destructiveness of the horn blasts.

Thank you for considering this perspective.

Best,
Susannah Hill
