Dear city council and chief police of Menlo Park,
I sent a mail to you all last week regarding to the ongoing illegal fireworks every night. It is not getting better at all, in fact, its getting worse and worse , starting around 9 pm till 3 am or 4 am every day, special during weekends. Many of us have been calling non emergency police department , and we’ve been told that they will send someone to check ! However it never works because by the time they already gone and it’s hard to pinpoint where exactly the fireworks came from. This illegal activity has been affected our life! I had to call in sick on Saturday because I was scared out from sleep around 2am , tried to calm my terrified pets , even myself, unable go back to sleep. I have been having headache and anxiety because of the lack of sleep. As a civilian, I don’t have much power to control or change anything, therefore, I can only rely on you . Please please help to stop the illegal fireworks. We are all working so hard to keep a place to stay and paying high property tax, we all deserve a safe neighborhood.
