Dear Council Members,
Having lived in Houston, Texas which had NO zoning laws in most areas, I can attest to significant disruptive and, yes, destructive outcomes arising from the elimination of single family-home zoning. Perhaps a compromise could be achieved by negotiating how much of Menlo Park is composed of single family homes, but to abandon home owners in this way is a route to lose value and population quickly. Please do not pursue this path.
