Hello City Council,
I am writing on two topics.
The first is my opposition to any effort to eliminate single family home zoning. The city council’s charge, I believe, is to represent the will of their electorate. I cannot imagine the current electorate in Menlo Park wanting to make such a draconian change.
The second topic is the consultants. It continues to stun me that the council, at the drop of a hat, hires a consultant ‘to explore with residents’ the issues that THEY should be exploring with the electorate. It would be interesting to see how much of the budget is spent on consultants. Menlo Park is not that big and now that we have council members that are elected on an area basis, these members should know the people the represent.
