Dear Mayor Ohtaki and Menlo Park Councilmembers, Thank you for your concern and leadership in attempting to address the severe and growing housing crisis in our City. I write now to express my strong support for tenant relocation assistance in the event of no-fault evictions and excessive rent increases. Adopting this policy will ensure that tenants who face certain no-fault evictions or large rent increases will not end up sleeping in their cars, on the street, homeless or on a long waiting list for shelter accommodations. Adopting this policy is one small but very important step we can take in making Menlo Park a more fair and more caring community. I urge you all to adopt this policy.
