I am Paul Kick and I live at 535 Morey Drive, Menlo Park. My back fence abuts Nealon Park. I just noticed a couple of men working to reopen the "Transfer Ride" that was closed because of the VERY LOUD noise all night long when used by young adults after hours. I understand that people who have children would want that reopened, but they do not have to listen to the loud noise after hours and late into the night when used by teens and young adults after the park hours are concluded. I am sure that the Menlo Park Police do not want multiple calls every night complaining of the noise.
The noise was NOT explained when I attended all of the playground planning meetings. Also, some young adults have just broken the 3 person circular centrifugal swing late on Friday night. The illegal after hours noise of the young adults is bad enough without the noise of the Transfer added to it.
Please let me know what I can do to insure as little noise as possible after hours in Nealon Park's Playground.
