Dear Council
During the tenure of former police Chief Bob Jonsen, the Chief instituted the ‘Citizens Police Academy’ workshops.
This was an amazing process and I befriended many officers and citizens (Including Councilmember Drew Combs, who sat next to me). I have retained all course materials.
Bob Jonsen is presently police chief in Palo Alto.
The Citizens Police Academy should be in your toolkit.
And, if you haven’t done so, you (and any citizen) should go for a ride along at night. Under a full moon.
