Hello Council,
I wanted to register my support for the Menlo-Atherton Cooperative Nursery
program, since the lease renewal will be on the July 8th agenda.
The Co-op has had an incredible impact on my journey as a parent. I have
learned from being in the classroom laboratory both from direct observation
and from the wisdom of the fellow parents working alongside me in the
classroom.
Parenthood, especially in the early years, can be tough and isolating. I am
so lucky to have met the people who have become my village.
A long term lease will secure the future of that community for all the
parents who need mentorship and guidance in the early years. It’s an asset
to Menlo Park to have such a meaningful place in that life-changing process.
