Dear City Council Members and Planning Commission Members: These majestic trees are icons of our city, and once gone are gone forever. My entire family agrees with those who are calling for more study to try to find alternate solutions so that they might be saved. We would also like to express our disappointment that so little effort has been made to inform our community about the current plan. Although the proposed plan would impact our whole city, the small yellow signs near the fast and busy intersection were mostly unnoticeable. It seems that the busy-ness of this time of year for most people was not taken into consideration either. Please recommend that more study be done to find alternatives.
