Dear City Council Members,
My husband and I are not Menlo Park residents but we have been swimming
regularly (4-5 days a week) at Burgess for two decades. Our son took
lessons, joined the youth swim team, and attended summer camps at Burgess.
My nephew was a lifeguard while in high school at Menlo- Atherton. Menlo
Parks public pools are a *vital* resource for our family.
Team Sheeper manages a facility that offers a multitude of excellent
aquatic programs for all ages. It is a complex and costly operation that
runs smoothly and professionally thanks to a hardworking staff of 300, and
an experienced, dedicated operator, Tim Sheeper, whose contribution to our
community must be applauded.
We appreciate your hard work on behalf of the community and ask that you
work in partnership with Team Sheeper to support the operation in order to
keep our pools at Burgess and Belle Haven open and accessible to all.
