City Council Members:
Do not simply rely on developers advice on the parking ramp question, EACH of YOU must do YOUR OWN "Due Diligence", because the idea of a multi-million dollar multi- level parking ramp, to replace existing street level parking, has a REALITY FLAW!
Before spending $50 +/-million on a multi-story ramp in downtown Menlo Park, take a tour and talk to other cities who have miscalculated the "Parking Ramp Solution" to meet the needs of citizens and store owners.

The bottom line:
Below ground level ramp parking and Levels 3 and above basically:
"NOT USED" !!!

See photos ( taken mid-day 7/15/2025 ) of the ramp on California Avenue, built to make it possible to shut down all cars on California Avenue, in Palo Alto:

Levels 3 and above
AND
2 below ground parking ramp levels:

Please consider the fact that the parking ramp DOES NOT meet the needs of the citizens, and store owners; and appears to be a waste of taxpayer money.

It is time to abandon the idea of a Parking ramp in downtown Menlo Park, and start looking at alternative sites for state mandated low cost apartments.
