Hello City Council,
The Oconnor St. neighborhood in Menlo Park is becoming increasingly
concerned with parking and traffic on our street during construction and
after completion. We are already seeing a rise in daytime street parking
due to demolition workers on the site.
There will not be enough parking in East Palo Alto to cover the amount of
vehicles during construction and after. Traffic throughout the Willows is
going to increase greatly as well.
We Think the best option is a parking time limit so that Oconnor St. does
not become a bumper to bumper parking lot as OKeefe St. is now. A two hour
or four hour limit would keep people from taking valuable space away from
homeowners during the day. Perhaps a resident parking sticker or pass would
work as well. Night-time parking enforcement will have to increase as well,
Im sure.
