I don’t know who is in charge of the permits for using Nealon Park but
there was a huge problem today, when Abbott took over the park and all the
parking,including handicapped spaces, areas along the edge of the driveway
that are not parking places and some of the Little House spaces where
Little House vehicles need to be to park.
I am a member of Little House, as well as a near neighbor. Little House
events are impacted when the seniors can’t find parking. The city shuttles
need to be able to get in, to drop off and pick up.
It seems to me that the city should mention Little House when issuing a
permit for as large a group as was there today. The Abbott people I talked
to, to complain, had no idea of Little House’s existence and were very
apologetic.
I think the city needs to improve this.
