Dear sirs: I am writing to you to request that you please uphold the appeal for the redwood trees at 1000 El Camino and engage unbiased expertise in a meaningful design process that seeks to repair the building while preserving those trees. Previous alternatives to removal did not meaningfully engage city staff and independent structural engineering and design professionals. Given the heritage and climate protection values provided by those trees, please overturn the previous vote by the EQC (Environmental Quality Committee).
