Traffic congestion suggestions

Here is my list of the biggest-impact projects to ease congestion, from cheapest to most expensive 1. Install a second left turn lane from northbound Middlefield onto westbound Ravenswood 2. Widen Middlefield southbound between Oak Grove and Ravenswood, allowing for two through southbound lanes at the Ravenswood intersection. 3. Re-time the signal at Ringwood/Middlefield to allow two different opportunities for left turns from Middlefield onto Ringwood - once at the beginning of the southbound green, and again at the end of the southbound green, and allow less time for northbound through traffic on Middlefield. 4. Convince Atherton to install a traffic light at the corner of Alameda de las Pulgas / Atherton to prevent the half-mile backups that occur on the Alameda during every rush hour. 5. Widen Bayfront Expressway by one lane eastbound from Willow to University, so there will be less backup onto Willow Road 6. Convince Palo Alto and Caltrans to build a southern approach to the Dumbarton Bridge, from Embarcadero, similar to Bayfront Expressway 7. Underground El Camino Real through Menlo Park with local traffic above ground -Sue Kayton kayton_at_(domainremoved) Received on Mon May 13 2019 - 17:03:38 PDT
