Dear City Council Members, My house is on Middle Ave across from Santa Rita Ave and we moved in 1999. Our children went to our public schools and they biked to school. My kitchen faces the street and I usually have breakfast during the time kids go to school and watch outside all the time. I took the pictures below this morning. Since we can not park on the street btw the hours of 2 am- 5 am, I rarely see parked cars in the morning. Our kids biked to school and we never felt unsafe. As you also see from the pictures, there is plenty of space for the children to bike as it is right now and they do not only bike btw San Mateo and Olive .... I totally feel it is unfair to consider banning street parking and we are against this. Banning street parking during the time kids bike to and from school during academic year can be acceptable. Please remember that children bike at certain time of the day, week and academic year but we live on this street.
