Several years ago during the economic downturn, staff hours of Library employees were reduced as a cost saving measure. One impact was a decrease in the number of hours the library was open - for example, on Tuesday mornings the Main Library is closed to the public. Another result is that the Main Library book drop is closed on holidays. Please look at the budget for the Library to see if these negative impacts on Library patrons can be reduced or eliminated. The shortening of hours the Library is open for use, and the inconvenience of returning items which have been checked out, does not serve the community of Menlo Park well. And Menlo Park is no longer experiencing a downturn in its economy. Thank you, Marjorie Stone 990 San Mateo Drive Menlo Park Received on Tue May 28 2019 - 16:23:40 PDT
