I support a city-wide moratorium on non residential development. Traffic is already crazy and large developments are springing up everywhere it seems, worsening the problem. We need to take a break. Because of the constant citywide traffic it has become necessary to avoid travel along El Camino, Middlefield and Willow Road roads from about 8-9:30 am and 3-7 pm, or sit in long lines of traffic. These are the roads designed to carry traffic through the city, instead of making the residential streets more attractive to thru traffic; when they get backed up, traffic usually moves to residential streets to avoid the traffic on the main arterials. People are even less happy when that happens, and it is happening already . Please vote tomorrow ( Tues June 11) for a moratorium on further non residential development to address this situation .
