My wife and I and many of my neighbors are strongly opposed to the proposal to ban gas appliances.
You must appreciate that most of our homes were built prior to 1960 and have power panels with 20 amps max. Additional electrical power usage will require an upgrade that runs into thousands of dollars. The cost of a subsidized gas appliances is still expensive and only the beginning.
Many of my neighbors are also on fixed income and this is just another unnecessary expense we confront.
