Parkline August 25 Planning Commission Meeting

Dear Council,
Now that the public has been informed that the Planning Commission will
meet on August 25 regarding the SRI/Parkline project, it is of utmost
importance to learn when the Council will meet to review and consider the
recommendations from the Planning Commission. There is a concern that
Parkline will be on the Councils agenda the following night, August 26.
2025.

Surely, this is incorrect.

The Planning Commission is being asked on August 25 to
1. certify the Final EIR
2. approve General Plan, Zoning Ordinance and zoning map amendments
3. Rezone the project site from C-1x
4. Revise the Conditional Development Permit
5. approve the vesting tentative map
6. approve a Development Agreement
7. approve a below market rate housing agreement

This is an unusually hefty load for one meeting with complicated tasks that
could result in substantial changes. I am concerned that the DEIR alone
needs close review with the help of Staff. There are comments from the
public and stakeholders to the DEIR that were only released when the FEIR
was released. The comments and the responses require both attention and
explanations. The Revisions to the DEIR also should be given adequate time.

The existing and currently operative Conditional Development Permit which
has kept an employee cap of ~ 3308 office workers on the site since 1975
has to date not been fully explained to the Council or the Planning
Commission. Its revision, as proposed, is a decision that calls for a
thorough and rigorous discussion.

The public needs to be assured that this projects permitting process is
not being rushed so that the Planning Commission, the Council nor the
public are left in the dark as to the consequences of approving this
project.

Please advise me (and the public) when the Council will review the Planning
Commissions deliberations and recommendations.

Thank you
Brielle Johnck
