What are you people trying to get away with, again? I was born here in Menlo in 1948. I stayed in Menlo, I got married and bought in Menlo. And we decided to stay and retire here. We both worked local and live in a small house so our “carbon footprint” has been and still is small! My freedom of choice along the way to design, remodel, build a yard, and create things of my own are one of the things that make home ownership in the USA a wonderful and somewhat unique experience. In the last few years you made Menlo a “safe city”. What good did this do for the citizens of Menlo. You wasted time and money--$65K?! You then went after the police, why? Why? You created hate and discord in the police force and amped up the hate amongst the tribes. Your personal politics are getting in the way of the needs of the tax paying citizens. All city functions have gone backwards. And now you want regulate my energy choices. Legal??????????
One of the reasons G. Newsom is being recalled is his poor performance in giving us RELIABLE, SAFE electrical power. Sacramento screwed things up more than PG&E. He also has done nothing to increase our water supply, something the people voted for. What have you people done?
I ask you this, why is the Facebook building still above water? It’s at zero feet. If one were to believe the “science” from twenty years ago it should be ten feet under! Yet over the years money changed hands and permits were given and buildings went up.
Heavy handed government will not fix anything! And pushing your personal politics on the people will get you in legal trouble.
