Council members,
As youre probably aware Congress has eliminated a variety of climate
related rebates effective at the end of the year.
I and many others are rushing to take advantage of these rebates to invest
in electrical appliances and reduce our GHG emissions. I will be installing
both a full house battery backup as well as a heat pump water heater.
Contractors I have been speaking with report a spike in demand as Bay area
residents are rushing to beat the December 31 tax credit deadline.
I am writing to bring this to your attention and to ask for your help in
getting the relevant city departments to accelerate the permitting process
for climate related projects, to ensure that we are able to complete as
many climate friendly projects as possible before the deadline and to
reduce our emissions despite the administrations hostility to climate
science.
