I find what Lee Duboc says to be so thoughtful and perceptive. I wonder if you should hire him as a consultant to put his thoughts and those of the last consultant into action. I am quoting (using italics and bold print) him below because I agree with him and can't say it better myself. A consultant, perhaps the same consultant who now knows Menlo Park's values and system, should be hired to draft a zoning code, while staff implements all the other recommendations the consultant made. Please City Council and City Manager, do not drop or even postpone the implementation of these recommendations which you paid so much to receive. They are possibly more important even than studying the placement of newspaper boxes downtown—which occupied the first hour Tuesday's meeting.
