Dear City Council Members,
I am writing to urge you to help keep the Burgess pool open during daylight hours. The closure from 10-3 impacts many of us who reply on the pool for exercise, camaraderie, a break from our days.
I have been lap swimming daily at Burgess for many years. Mostly in the morning but also after lunch as my schedule allows. My daughters grew up swimming there, starting with lessons and the swim team. One of my daughters is now a PASA coach. The pool is very important to us.
I understand that costs need to be cut. Maybe the closure hours could be fewer than 5 a day?
