Dear Council Members, I am a resident of Menlo Park and like many of our neighbors I have serious concerns about gun safety in our community. I ask that the Council consider enacting a safe gun storage ordinance similar to those passed within the last year by several cities in San Mateo County and by the County of San Mateo. We can prevent accidental deaths and suicides by simply requiring that guns be stored safely in our homes.
